If you watched the episode of Real Time with Bill Maher [whose audience is mostly liberal], Ron Paul got the biggest applause I've ever seen on that show. But I will say this, Libertarians believe in much less Federal Government, and more Local Govt. The south wanted to leave the union because the Federal Govt was imposing it's will on the south.
