Description: This is our Miele Premier 520 washing machine. One Ariel Biological tablet produces all of this foam. And look what happened when I (accidentally!) put the Drain/Spin programme on instead of allowing the machine to drain and *rinse* first... Eeek! ;-) This is exactly the same as my previous video, but the sound and picture quality are slightly better because I have uploaded the original video straight from my camera on the highest quality setting I currently have. As you can see, there is some suds lock going on here. These machines, particularly when used with a low-foaming detergent, can clear the suds away very quickly when allowed to run through a proper cycle. I, on the other hand, wanted to get the machine to end -- I was only washing some micro fibre E-cloths just for this video -- and mistakenly selected Drain/Spin instead of letting the machine run through its cycle. I had meant to select the rinse programme! Also, these machines do not usually take so long to distribute. The very small load probably had something to do with it. On a full load, these will distribute and begin spinning quite quickly -- in just a few seconds after the water has been drained completely -- and not become out of balance. The clicking sound just before the machine spins is not the machine itself -- it's one of our dogs deciding to see what I'm getting up to! :-) No doubt he thought, "What on Earth are you doing?!" ;-) |
