During that phase of P/O Ike and Napoleon kind of traded off on lead vox depending on the tune. Sometimes they were both singing, sometimes it was just one or just the other. I just saw Zappa Plays Zappa and Napolean was the hilight of the night. AMAZING!!!! Don't get me wrong. I love Ike, but he sounds really bored, plus parking his fat ass on the stool doesn't help.
